Vampire Facial Introduction

The Vampire Facial has gained popularity due to celebrities having the procedure to keep their skin looking camera ready and glowing. The Vampire Facial is a procedure which combines platelet rich plasma (PRP) with the use of sterile microneedle dermal stimulation.

What the difference between the Vampire Facial and The Vampire Facelift?

The Vampire Facial does not include any injection with a syringe. The PRP (platelet rich plasma) is spread over the skin and the fine needles of of the micro needle device creates “entry pores” to the top layers of the skin.
In a Vampire Facelift, a syringe is used to inject PRP and/or PRFM (platelet rich fibrin matrix) under the skin.

How Does Vampire Facial Work?

Vampire Facial Introduction Scottsboro

The medical micro needle procedure using the Dermapen is a method of “collagen induction therapy” also referred to as “CIT”. The small entries into the dermis cause the skin to respond with collagen which softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as superficial sun damage.

The platelet rich plasma (PRP) delivery to the dermis further enhances the micro needle treatment so collagen and other skin enhancing support is stimulated by the growth factors in the platelet rich plasma (PRP). The platelet rich plasma (PRP) also has factors which stimulate blood supply to the skin. This creates a look of glow and luster to the skin which is unique to platelet rich plasma.

The benefits of this treatment can be appreciated as soon as 1 week. The skin can continue to improve over several weeks and the benefits can last for months.

Vampire Facial Before and After

What to Expect

In preparation, we begin with a thorough cleansing of your skin to remove makeup, dirt and residue. Then we apply numbing cream masking your face. Next we clean off the numbing cream are you are ready for treatment.

We will begin your procedure by taking a blood sample from your arm. This blood sample will then be filtered through a special machine that is used to separate the platelets from the blood. The blood platelets are responsible for making clots and healing wounds and bruises, but in high concentrations, platelets have been shown to stimulate other types of skin repair and rejuvenation, specifically on the face. These platelets are then applied to the skin to promote new cell growth. The collagen-rich treatment will firm and tighten your skin and promote a youthful glow. The Vampire Facial is non-invasive, using tiny injections.
